「意義ある人生の４つの柱（four pillar of a meaningful life）」

の最初の柱は“belonging” 「密接な間柄」でした。

そして次は！

"Second pillar"は"purpose（目的）"だと彼女は言います。

"as finding that job that makes you happy" 「あなたを幸せにする仕事を見つけることなどです」と。

"Purpose is less about what you want than about what you give"

「目的とは、自分が何を欲しいのか、というよりも、自分が何を与えられるのかということになります」

病院の管理人の目的は患者を癒すこと。多くの親の目的は子供を育てること。
